Harold Hill Town Centre – Chippenham Road Compulsory Purchase Order

Overview

On 14 April 2026, the London Borough of Havering made the Harold Hill Town Centre – Chippenham Road Compulsory Purchase Order 2026 under section 226(1)(a) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the Acquisition of Land Act 1981.

At this time, we invited any person or persons who wished to make an objection to the Order to do so in writing to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government at the Planning Casework Unit, 4th Floor, 23 Stephenson Street, Birmingham, B2 4BH.

Objections had to be received by Friday 15 May 2026 and had to state:

  • The title of the Order
  • The grounds of objection
  • The objector’s address and interest in the Order land

Along with copies attached to this notice, hard copies of the Compulsory Purchase Order documents were deposited at Harold Hill Library, 19a Farnham Road, Harold Hill, Romford, RM3 8ED and could be inspected during normal opening hours.  These documents were:
