Local Heritage List Nominations
Overview
We previously asked you for input into our Local Heritage List Criteria. Now we want to hear from you about what you think should be included on the Local Heritage List.
Havering’s Local Heritage List helps our communities and the local planning authority to identify heritage assets (for example, buildings, monuments, sites and landscapes) that are much loved and a distinctive part of our local historic environment. It provides a comprehensive list of the location of assets and what is significant about them.
We want to hear from you what you think should be included on the Local Heritage List. This could be a building, structure, monument, gardens, etc. All Nominations we receive will be assessed by heritage experts against the criteria which we previously consulted on. Nominations close on 20th December.
The current list of heritage assets can be found here. You won't need to nominate buildings that are already on the list.
What happens next
Your nominations will be assessed by heritage specialists to determine whether it should be included on the Local Heritage List. They will use criteria that we consulted on from June to August this year, to analyse the assets. A finalised Local Heritage List will then be adopted.
