Princes Road Parking
Overview
Havering Council has recently made changes to the parking bay markings along Princes Road, Romford. The existing markings have been designed to allow the flow of two-way traffic.
We are seeking your views to determine whether or not households are happy with the existing layout or if a revised layout would be preferred, where parking bays are all marked within the road.
This could see slower moving traffic and the loss of some parking spaces replaced with waiting restrictions, to accommodate vehicles to pass through.
There are currently approximately 131 resident parking spaces in Princes Road (including bays marked over or next to dropped kerbs/driveways), a further change to the layout of parking spaces, could see this reduced to approximately 90 spaces.
Why your views matter
The Council would like to hear your views on whether you are happy with these recent changes (existing layout) or if you would prefer a new layout which would see wider pavements but a more narrow road.
Please refer to the two designs at the bottom of this page (Plan 1 showing the existing layout and plan 2 showing a revised layout). The Council will review all responses to this questionnaire and the results will help determine what measures (if any) will be taken forwards.
