Kings Park 'Residents Parking Scheme' Consultation
Overview
As you may be aware, Havering Council is in the process of adopting most of the roads within the Kings Park development. Once this adoption is complete, the maintenance of these roads and the management of parking will become the Council's responsibility.
Currently, a private parking scheme managed by the developer, is in place to deter long-term, non-residential parking. However, this private scheme will end once the Council adopts the roads.
Given Kings Park's proximity to Harold Wood train station, the Council is committed to preventing potential parking issues that could arise when the private scheme ends.
Our priority is to ensure that parking within the development is prioritised for residents. To address this, the Council is proposing the introduction of a ‘Residents Parking Scheme’ for the Kings Park area, similar to those already established in other parts of Harold Wood.
Please note that this scheme will only apply to those roads that are due to be adopted by the Council. Detailed plans showing the full extent of the proposed scheme are enclosed.
Why your views matter
The feedback gathered from this consultation will be considered and help us determine if the scheme should be progressed. Should it be agreed for the scheme to be progressed, the next step would be the formal advertisement of the proposals.
