Beam Parks 'Residents Parking Scheme' Consultation

Overview

In October 2023, we asked for views on the current parking situation for roads in the Beam Park area.

Over 300 people completed the survey and the vast majority of responses indicated that they would prefer a ‘residents parking scheme’ rather than solely ‘waiting restrictions’.

Based on the feedback gathered, proposals for a residents parking scheme have been designed and links to the plans showing these proposals can be found at the bottom of this page.

Whilst residents in some of the roads previously surveyed indicated that they do not currently experience parking problems, we still want to include all previously surveyed roads in this consultation. This ensures that all residents have the opportunity to consider and comment on a detailed proposal.

Although some roads may not be currently experiencing parking problems, residents are asked to consider that should a residents parking scheme be implemented in nearby roads, what effect this may have on their road. Particularly with the ongoing developments south of New Road (A1306).

Why your views matter

We are asking all residents to have their say by completing a questionnaire on the proposals. The feedback gathered from this consultation will help us determine any next steps for the proposal. The responses will be reviewed and consideration will be given as to what roads should be included for implementation of the scheme.
