Havering Community Safety Residents' Survey 2026
Feedback updated 8 Sep 2026
We asked
During March and April 2026, we asked residents to share their views on crime and anti-social behaviour in their local area. We wanted to hear directly from people living in Havering about the issues affecting their neighbourhoods, how safe they feel, and what matters most to them when it comes to community safety.
This feedback helps the Havering Community Safety Partnership better understand residents’ experiences and priorities. The Partnership brings together Havering Council, the Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade, Probation services, Health services and other organisations to work together to help make Havering a safer place to live, work and visit.

We received 226 online responses:
- 57% of respondents reported either feeling fairly or very satisfied with their neighbourhood as a place to live or work, with 29% saying they were either fairly or very dissatisfied.
- 40% of respondents reported feeling either fairly or very safe in their neighbourhood, whereas 42% said they felt either fairly or very unsafe.
We did
We shared residents’ feedback with the Havering Community Safety Partnership so it can be used to help identify local trends, understand how crime and anti-social behaviour are affecting communities, and inform future priorities for keeping residents safe.
The findings from the consultation have also been included in the Strategic Assessment 2026, which helps shape the Partnership’s work and priorities. The assessment is publicly available on our Data Intelligence Hub and you can view the full analysis HERE, from page 89 onwards.
Overview
The Havering Community Safety Partnership has launched its survey on crime and disorder, to find out how residents feel about different types of crime across the borough.
The survey will help to shape the work of the partnership which is made up of staff from Havering Council, the Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade, Probation services, Health services, and other organisations.
Why your views matter
Your views and experiences are a very important part of our understanding of perceptions of crime and Anti-Social Behaviour in your neighbourhood, and will help us not only to understand local issues but to make recommendations about steps that might be taken to address some of these issues. Without your feedback, it would be more difficult for us to understand some of these trends and the impacts that this might have had in your neighbourhood.
