Overview
The regeneration of Farnham and Hilldene Estate is part of the Council’s long-term ambition to improve Harold Hill District Centre as a place to live, work, shop, and enjoy for the whole community.
This webpage provides an update on the community-led regeneration of the estate and information on how you can get involved in shaping the design proposals.
Why your views matter
The Council has worked closely with residents since 2016 on what they think should happen to the homes on the estate, exploring options for refurbishing the existing homes and adding more floors, as well as full scale redevelopment.
Our latest consultation showed that residents favoured comprehensive redevelopment and this approach was approved by the council’s cabinet in March 2021.
The Council has now begun working with architects to develop ideas for a new district centre and how it could be delivered with the least amount of disruption to residents, businesses, and the wider community.
We are very much in the early stages of the design process and look forward to working with residents, businesses, and community stakeholders to help build a shared vision for the future of Farnham and Hilldene Estate.
