Havering Draft Local Plan: Consultation on Further Main Modifications
Overview
Havering Council is consulting on changes to the Havering draft Local Plan that ensure it conforms with the new London Plan. This consultation is asking for comments on the proposed Further Main Modifications to the Havering draft Local Plan, and the updates to the Sustainability Appraisal, Habitats Regulations Assessment Addendums and Housing Supply Statement 2021.
Local Plan examination hearings took place in October 2018 and May 2019 under the direction of a Planning Inspector (Ms Susan Heywood BSc (Hons) MCD MRTPI). A consultation on Main Modifications was carried out in September/October 2020, the comments received were considered by the Council, responded to and published. They will be taken into account by the Inspector before she reaches her conclusions on the soundness of the plan.
Why your views matter
The Council and the Inspector have now undertaken further work aimed solely to ensure Local Plan conformity with the new London Plan (2021). These changes are being consulted on here.
The Inspector considers that the Local Plan could be found ‘sound’ subject to it including a number of Further Main Modifications. These are identified in the FMMC01 Schedule of Proposed Further Main Modifications (2021).
What happens next
All comments made on the proposed Further Main Modifications during this consultation will be fully taken into account by the Inspector before she reaches final conclusions on the Plan. If you have already submitted comments on the Local Plan in other consultations then there is no need to repeat these or re-submit them as they have already been considered and published as part of the examination process. This consultation is open for anyone to respond.
This consultation will close on 26 August 2021
