Havering's Local Plan Main Modifications
Overview
Havering Council has launched the final public consultation that will give residents the opportunity to provide their views and feedback on the Havering Local Plan.
The Havering Plan is a guide to development in the borough until 2032 and sets out the strategy for our growth and improvement for the local economy, housing, transport systems and environment over the next 12 years.
The Government’s Planning Inspector advised that a number of modifications needed to be made to the Local Plan in order to find it ‘sound’ and allow the Council to adopt it. On 5 August 2020, Cabinet formally agreed to consult on the modifications and supporting evidence base.
Why your views matter
The consultation commenced on Monday 17th August, and runs for eight weeks, to Monday 12th October, and will gather views on the Main Modifications the Inspector has asked for. These Main Modifications explains in more detail the borough’s proposed plans for housing, parking and the provision of Gypsy and Traveller sites for the borough.
