Conservation Area Appraisals - Romford, Rainham, Gidea Park
Overview
Conservation Areas are areas which have been designated because of their special architectural or historic interest.
Havering has 11 Conservation Areas, each with an adopted Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan (CAAMPs). These CAAMPs help to ensure Conservation Areas are protected from unsympathetic development and alterations.
CAAMPs for Romford, Rainham and Gidea Park were adopted in 2008 and are considerably out of date. The Council has been working with consultants Purcell to update the CAAMPs for these three Conservation Areas.
CAAMPs have been drafted for Romford, Rainham, and Gidea Park and the Council are now seeking comments on the documents. Please fill out the online survey below to share your views. The consultation closes 9th June, 11:59pm.

The Council will be holding an event in each Conservation Area to discuss the document and to gain your views and feedback. There will be a presentation for 20 minutes at the start of the session and then the rest of the time is free to ask questions. Full event details are under the 'events' heading. All are welcome to attend.
