Straight Road Pedestrian Crossing Questionnaire

Closes 1 Aug 2025

Opened 11 Jul 2025

Overview

Havering Council is proposing to install a new signal-controlled pedestrian crossing on Straight Road. This would replace the current informal crossing outside No. 8 Straight Road.

The aim of this upgrade is to improve safety for everyone, especially vulnerable road users, including those with limited mobility.

This scheme is being funded by Transport for London (TfL) as part of the Gallows Corner improvement works. Please note that this funding is specifically allocated for this purpose and cannot be used elsewhere in the borough.

Plans showing the location of the proposed crossing can be found at the bottom of this page.

Why your views matter

We welcome any feedback on the proposals, which will be taken in to consideration before any formal decision is made regarding the implementation of the scheme.
