Great Nelmes Chase Parking Questionnaire
Overview
Following reports of obstructive and inconsiderate parking, Havering Council is considering the introduction of waiting restrictions on Great Nelmes Chase.
If progressed, the waiting restrictions would operate Monday to Friday, between 8am to 9am and from 2.45pm to 3.45pm and would be introduced under an experimental traffic order.
An experimental traffic order enables us to observe the impact of such a scheme in use and give flexibility to any potential amendments, should they be necessary.
The order would remain in place for up to 18 months, during which time a decision would be made to either withdraw the scheme, modify it, or make it permanent.
Throughout this period, residents will be able to provide feedback and general comments which will help us to make a decision on the future of the scheme.
Why your views matter
Before progressing, we would like to hear from residents of Great Nelmes Chase as to whether they would be supportive of the waiting restrictions being introduced outside their properties. This will enable us to consider the extent of any proposed restrictions.
Please note that we are not considering proposing intermittent sections of yellow lines across individual properties. Instead, any proposal will be for continuous restrictions in sections of Great Nelmes Chase where the majority of residents, have been supportive of such measures.
Residents are asked to take into consideration that whilst you may not be currently experiencing parking issues outside your property, any introduction of parking restrictions may disperse these nuisance vehicles out to a wider area.
