Havering Council Notice of Street Tree Removal, Belgrave Avenue, Warren Drive and Brookdale Avenue

Closes 30 May 2025

Opened 30 Apr 2025

Overview

Havering Council is consulting on the removal of three trees:

Location Reference Number Reason for removal

Outside 117/119 Belgrave Avenue, Gidea Park RM2 6PS

TR000019177

Mature Lime.  Property damage plus fungal brackets compromising the safe remaining life expectancy of the tree

Outside 109 Warren Drive, Hornchurch RM12 4QU

TR000018483

Maple.  Ongoing damage to property due to radial root growth, likely to continue even if current damaging root is removed

Outside 26 Brookdale Avenue, Upminster RM14 2LT

TR000008501

Field Maple. This tree has been previously reduced and further management will not have any significant impact on its influence on soil moisture content in proximity to the property, leading to ongoing property damage.

We will only remove trees that are dead, dying, diseased or dangerous.  Whilst not an immediate danger, these trees have proven to be a cause of ongoing damage to property, and as such are likely to pose an increasing risk over the coming years.
