Street Trading Licensing Policy

Overview

Havering is considering introducing a street trading policy and we would appreciate your views to shape the proposed policy.  

The policy covers the following activities: 

• Street Trading Pitches
• Tables and Chairs on the Highway 
• Shop Front Displays
• Advertising Boards 

The aim of the policy is to regulate elements of street trading to ensure a level playing field in terms of commercial use of public land and improve and maintain resident’s quality of life and ensure effective use of the highway. 

This consultation covers four areas: 

• The draft Havering Street Trading Licensing Policy
• License Conditions
• Designated streets 
• Fees. 

Please note: The policy will have no impact on Romford Market.
